I can see how this is troubling. I guess in this case it depends whether you can accept/believe the basic assumption.

What specifically do you mean by "evade the evidence for intention"? Do you require existence to be for something? Here I'd argue again the the intention of existence is creating itself (another self reference 😁). This is reflected by the fact that ideas evolve towards simulation (i.e. making things exist). Getting existence from nothing is the whole point.

You could also say that he intention behind existence is the wish of intelligent beings to exist. After all, if I'm right, we (humans) will build a simulator for this very purpose (with the intention of creating more Universes that close the loop so we can exist ourselves).
